Do you feel well rested in the morning? Do you feel you get enough sleep each night? How is your “sleep hygiene”? These days, 1 in 3 adults do not get sufficient sleep; for an adult (ages 18-64), adequate sleep is generally 7-9 hours. We spend up to a third of our lives in bed – shouldn’t we be enjoying restful and restorative sleep while we’re there?
Lack of sleep is associated with many acute and chronic diseases and symptoms including obesity, anxiety, depression, heart disease, diabetes, poor memory, inflammation, and high blood pressure. Being well rested invites our body to deal effectively with stress, maintain a strong immune system, and heal anything from a common cold to a broken bone.
Don’t hit snooze on this class! Together we will dive into the many ways we can enhance our ability to fall asleep and stay asleep. We will explore Feng Shui, Eden Energy Medicine, essential oils, and other strategies to help us create an internal and external environment conducive to a restorative night sleep.
